A bagel with cream cheese and a mocha. Like the ones I used to get from Noah’s Bagels at Cal Poly Pomona every Tuesday morning with Margot on our way to ENV 115 (History of Art and Environmental Design) back when I was an Urban and Regional Planning major. Winter 1999 was my first quarter at Cal Poly and Margot was my first roommate. She had a pink GAP parka and I had a gray one (thanks to my awesome friends Seiji and Chris). Margot liked to make margaritas and I liked to drink them. It ended up turning into an odd friendship and the next quarter I moved in with my new friend Jenni. That didn’t last too long either and I ended up moving in with Marissa. Marissa had been best friends with Margot for years. It worked out, she was the best roommate anyone could ask for. I miss Marissa, I miss Jenni, and I miss Margot. I googled them all to no avail.
I suspect that you will learn more about me and my roommates in the future. But for now, I shall drink rootbeer.
