Oh, those darn Mondays

Earlier this morning….
Colleague: “Well, aren’t you a shadow of your former self?”
Me: “Hmm?” With a look of complete confusion.
Her: “Didn’t you just have a baby?”
Me: “A looong time ago…haha”
Her: “Oh, I’m confused…haha..(nervous laughter)…I don’t know what I was thinking. It must be one of those Mondays.”
Me: (yeah that’s what it is) “That’s ok…haha. Have a good day.”
I worked with this lady last month. I had my baby in May of 2005; I know I gained more than the recommended 35 lbs during my pregnancy, and I admit that I sometimes still waear maternity clothes, and yes, I am lazy and haven’t tried to lose the weight yet, but come on, I’m the same size I was last month – fat, but not pregnant!
Did she think I was pregnant last month? I had the flu, but I don’t think I had an inflated, protruding belly.
